Do you have a neighborhood issue or problem you have identified and would like to solve? Neighborhood Ambassador Academy is a free community involvement program dedicated to immersing residents in a wide array of programs and sectors within Metro Nashville City Government to come together to solve a problem. Within our curriculum, we work together to gain insight into our city’s neighborhoods and provide a platform for promoting and influencing policy that can positively change our neighborhoods and city.
About the Program
The Neighborhood Ambassador Academy (NAA) offers a unique opportunity for civic engagement. It’s a platform we are extending to Nashvillians who are eager to make a difference in their communities. With areas focusing on traffic calming, affordable housing options, green space, education, food access, and safety, participants will:
- Define a problem,
- Identify stakeholders needed to address the problem,
- Connect with city officials and others will who be instrumental in the solution,
- Develop a plan/budget,
- Present and pitch the plan,
- Provide tools on moving the solution forward.
With this program, we hope to provide resources on top level issues/trends that transcend and affect every neighborhood, build strategic partnerships that will help improve neighborhoods through Davidson County, and be a hub of resources for Nashvillians.
