The Mayor’s Office created the Landlord Guarantee Fund in 2021 to help get more Nashville families and neighbors into homes. Metro combined existing federal housing dollars with a donation from the Frist Foundation through United Way of Greater Nashville. Landlords who accept federal housing vouchers or Rapid Re-Housing through the Low Barrier Housing Collective can use the fund to cover up to $1,000 in property damages or up to $2,000 in lost rent.
If you are a member property owner who lowered rental barriers for tenants transitioning out of homelessness, you may be eligible for reimbursement. Please see the Landlord Guarantee Fund Manual for more information. If you qualify, please begin to submit your request above.
