The East Bank Boulevard project team extends gratitude to all participants who contributed feedback through the recent survey, public meeting, and pop-up events. With the survey now closed, the team is diligently reviewing community and stakeholder input that will contribute to the design process for the Boulevard. Further updates will be shared as the project progresses.

Project Introduction
Map of Proposed East Bank Boulevard
Metro Nashville is proposing to construct East Bank Boulevard, a new multimodal street that will provide north-south connectivity through Nashville’s redeveloping East Bank. As envisioned in the Imagine East Bank Vision Plan, the Boulevard sets the foundation for the area’s future urban street grid and multimodal transportation networks.
As currently proposed, East Bank Boulevard would follow the existing alignment of Cowan Street south from the future Cleveland Street extension to Jefferson Street. From Jefferson Street to Korean Veterans Boulevard, the Boulevard would be located on a new alignment. East Bank Boulevard would be a transit and pedestrian priority corridor and would consist of vehicular travel lanes with a dedicated transit lane in each direction, wide sidewalks and streetscaping within the right-of way.
The project seeks to enhance mobility and promote sustainable transportation options on Nashville’s East Bank. The purpose of the project is to create a multimodal corridor that is resilient during flooding events, and that connects with an urban street grid to accommodate safe, efficient north-south travel that prioritizes accessibility for transit users, pedestrians, and vehicles.
