The Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health (MCAH) Epidemiology team plays a vital role in understanding and addressing the unique health needs of women, children, youth, and families in our community. By collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, our epidemiologists and research analysts identify trends, disparities, risk factors, barriers to accessing resources and opportunities for targeted interventions to improve health outcomes and promote wellness across the lifespan.

Child Death Review (CDR)
Multidisciplinary reviews of childhood deaths to identify preventable causes and inform strategies to enhance child health and safety

Reviews of fetal and infant deaths to inform strategies to improve maternal and infant health

Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS)
Collects data to guide programs and policies that support the health and well-being of youth in our community
