Digital Navigators: Helping Everyone Get Connected
The Digital Navigator program started in 2019. It’s a way for community groups to help people get internet and learn about technology. In Metro Nashville and Davidson County, we use this program to connect people with computers, the internet, and help through local nonprofits.
A Flexible Program
Digital Navigators do more than just teach how to use computers. They help people find low-cost internet, get tech help, and connect to classes or job training programs. These services help people feel more confident with technology. Everyone should be able to use today’s online world.
What Does a Digital Navigator Do?
A Digital Navigator works with people—in person or online—to help them with technology. Someone might need basic computer skills, help applying for jobs online, or training to start a small business. A Navigator finds out what they need and connects them to the right help.
We also train staff at local nonprofits so they can help people with things like education, job searches, housing applications, food help, and more. Plus, our Digital Navigators keep helping people so they get the support they need.
