The Nashville Davidson County Register of Deeds will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday March 12-13 and Monday-Tuesday March 17-18 as phase II construction nears completion according to County Register Karen Johnson.
The Phase II lower-level construction area, when completed, will offer customer access to archives, microfilm, microfiche, old index books, and computer work stations with access to the Register of Deeds database for individual research and title searches. Additionally, the renovated area will provide a Veterans ID booth where cards can be provided in place of DD214 private documents along with access to lounge and break areas.
"The Register of Deeds Office is proud to offer new and improved services to our customers at our new location," Johnson stated. "Customers can also enjoy access to free parking at both our Deaderick Street and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard entrances for their convenience. The Register of Deeds regrets any inconvenience caused by this necessary closing," she added.
The office will be open Friday, March 14 and resume regular business hours on Wednesday, March 19 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with plans for the entire space to be fully operational to the public in late April 2025.
