Metropolitan Social Services provides a range of services to help Davidson County residents who are in need, achieve economic stability and social wellbeing. These services promote positive change for individuals and families in times of crisis and economic hardship.
Metro Social Services is a Trauma Informed Agency providing training on evidence-based and emerging trauma-informed best practices; developing competencies specific to Trauma Informed Care.
Metro Social Services provides website links to human services resources located in Nashville-Davidson County. We believe in helping residents locate services that stabilize the crisis and reduce economic hardships.
The activities of Metro Social Services are guided by a seven member Social Services Board of Commissioners. This independent commission is appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Metropolitan Council. Board members are appointed to five year terms.
