WHAT: The East Convenience Center has reopened following a major site improvement project. Benefits of the 10-week project include new infrastructure, enhanced traffic flow and safety upgrades for staff and residents.

MORE: The East Convenience Center, which temporarily closed in September for essential upgrades, is operational and ready to serve residents. The improvements include:
- The construction of a new main entrance building to enhance staff safety and customer experience.
- Installation of new safety railings around drop-off points.
- Updated road striping for smoother and more efficient vehicle movement on site.
The East Center had not undergone a substantial overhaul since opening in 2001. This project ensures the facility's long-term durability and efficiency, reinforcing the department's commitment to convenient and safe public service.
Hours of Operation: Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Accepted Materials: Residential Waste and Recycling, Compostable Materials, Bulk Items, Scrap Metal, Tires, Mattresses, and Appliance Disposal.
Specialized Services: The East Convenience Center accepts Household Hazardous Waste (examples: batteries, household cleaners, insecticides, among others) and Electronic Waste.
