With the projects listed below, the Office of Impact aims to encourage the development of a more welcoming and accessible experience for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the City of Nashville.
Budget Equity Tool
This tool is designed to determine whether budget allocations advance fair outcomes for Metro Nashville residents and employees, measure the impact of budget decisions in terms of burdens or benefits for specific communities, and overall improve performance and service delivery for each department.
Community of Practice
The Office of Impact regularly convenes internal and external stakeholders to engage in topics and strategies to advance opportunities and access throughout Nashville and Davidson County. A recording of our virtual convening from 2022 is available on YouTube.
Dashboards
This tool was developed to help Metro departments, community groups, and organizations in identifying the major burdens some residents face in participating in Nashville’s economic, social, and civic life. There are four dashboards in total:
Davidson County Demographic Atlas
The Davidson County Demographic Atlas is a collaboration between the Office of Impact, the Mayor’s Office of Performance Management, and Information Technology Services. The maps were created using the ArcGIS platform, which allows users to explore different indicators and geographic areas within Davidson County. Nine different indicators were selected for the atlas, and these indicators represent different entry points to understand the spatial distribution of both barriers and opportunities.
