Each year, residents, local businesses, and community groups join in the Mayor’s Spring Clean. It’s a countywide event that helps refresh neighborhoods across Davidson County. This event encourages people to take an active role in caring for their community by hosting or joining clean‑ups in their own area.
The Mayor’s Spring Clean for 2026 took place on Saturday, March 28. Metro Nashville Beautification Commissioners and Council Members supported clean‑ups in every district. Check back early next year for information on registration for the 2027 Mayor's spring clean.
Participants can host a variety of events, such as neighborhood clean‑ups, beautification projects, or stream clean‑ups. Instructions and resources for hosting an event will be available once registration opens.
NDOT’s Open Streets program brings car‑free events to Nashville neighborhoods. It turns streets into safe places for walking, biking, and gathering. NDOT works with Walk Bike Nashville to help neighborhoods host their own block‑party‑style events. Streets are closed to traffic during these events. Neighborhood groups are encouraged to explore how they can bring an Open Streets event to their area.
