About MAC Early Education Program

MAC is the largest provider for early childhood education for children ages 0 to 5 in Davidson County, with seven locations across the Nashville area serving 1,485 children annually. We provide a creative curriculum that includes foundational skills in math, literacy, science and project based learning that connects family to their children’s learning. In addition to academics, the program also includes parent engagement activities, dental, vision, hearing, speech/language screenings, to support children’s needs during their developmental years. during their developmental years.
The MAC Early Education and Preschool Program is an ideal solution for low-income families seeking a strong educational foundation for their children and support for their own personal growth. On average, MAC provides 218,543 meals annually through our Early Education Program and alleviates families financially by saving them over $13 million annually on childcare expenses.

MAC Whole Family Approach
The MAC Early Education program takes a comprehensive, whole-family approach by addressing the needs of both children and their caregivers. MAC follows a 2Gen (Two-Generation) model, offering services that benefit the entire household. These include free access to adult education programs such as GED preparation, CompTIA A+ certification for IT careers, Child Development Associate (CDA) certification for future educators, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) camps for siblings.

Getting an Early Head Start
MAC provides childcare to low-income families with infants and toddlers to enhance children's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development as well as pregnant women to assist with access to comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care. In addition to addressing the immediate health and well-being of the child and parent, the program also prioritizes the family’s economic security and educational success as they are beginning or adding to their family. This Whole Family/2Gen approach secures the system of support is strengthened or established.
Qualifications for Enrollment
MAC Early education and Preschool is a program offered at no cost, but families must meet qualifications:

- Child's Birth Certificate

- Current Well Baby physical
Children with Disabilities
If your child has a diagnosed disability and an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), your family is encouraged to contact us to apply. Your child may qualify for enrollment regardless of family income. Families of children without a diagnosed disability desiring to enroll their children into the Early Head Start Program must meet the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines.
