Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell has proclaimed Saturday, May 17 as Metropolitan Action Commission (MAC) Community Action Day in Nashville and Davidson County in celebration of MAC’s 60th Anniversary.
To commemorate the day, Metro Action will host Metro Action Community Action Day on Saturday beginning at 10am, bringing all its resources as well as nearly 20 resource partners together as a one-stop location for information, services and programs that create pathways for improved social and economic mobility and wellness for residents of Nashville and Davidson County.
Also featured are appearances by Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell, the Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders and mascot T-Rac. Artwork by children of MAC’s Early Education Preschool program will be the featured in a special children’s art “crawl” exhibit.
The MAC Action Day also includes a special children’s activity area, fun activities, face painting and games. Food vendors and free snacks will also be available.
