Beginning in 2026, grading permit sites requiring installation of permanent Stormwater Control Measures (SCMs) will be required to utilize Metro Water Services’ Long Term Maintenance Plan (LTMP) Template, which will be recorded along with any Long-Term Maintenance Agreements or Declaration of Restrictions at the Davidson County Register of Deeds. This requirement will begin for all grading permit applications submitted after March 31st , 2026.
The LTMP Template is an Adobe-fillable document that will make all LTMPs more consistent in format and inspection and maintenance requirements. The Inspection and Maintenance section of the LTMP Template should be completed by utilizing details Metro provided in the LTMP Template Attachment document, which contains inspection and maintenance notes for the commonly used SCMs within Davidson County. If a SCM is not listed on the document, please input the inspection and maintenance notes specific to that SCM into the LTMP Template.
