Scooter Parking Law Changes
In these documents, a scooter is referred to as a Shared Urban Mobility Device (SUMD).
Acceptable Forms of Payment
The Transportation Licensing Commission accepts the following forms of payment:
- Cash
- Credit Card (2.3% processing fee will apply)
- Cashier’s Check
- Pre-printed Company/Business check with routing and account number, dollar amount, and signature. (Individual or business name and address must be pre-printed in the check’s upper left corner.)

We now accept Credit Cards for Permit Fees
Credit/Debit Card Transaction Fee Change, effective January14, 2010 - Metropolitan Ordinance # BL 2008-218 was enacted to repeal Ordinance # BL 2001-777 in its entirety. Based on this legislative action, a convenience fee will be added to all credit and debit card transactions processed by the Metropolitan Davidson County Public Works Department. The fee of 2.3% is assessed by the electronic processing company and no part of the fee goes to Metro.
