Bridge Projects
The Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT) maintains 353 Federally regulated bridges and 52 underpasses, plus 2 pedestrian bridges and underpasses, totaling 407 structures.
In Progress
- Bull Run Road Bridge Maintenance Project: As of July 16, bridge repairs have been completed and the roadway has been reopened. Final paving and striping will be scheduled within 30 days.
- Great Circle Road Bridge (Metro Center)
- Korean Veterans Memorial Bridge: Lane closures are in place until September 2025.
Culvert Projects
The Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT) performs maintenance, reconstruction, and addresses the vulnerability concerns of more than 3,500 culverts within the Metro right-of-way.

Guardrail Program
The Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT) maintains approximately 4,500 guardrails to current Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) standards, with the purpose of ensuring the traveling public’s safety by reducing the severity of roadway departures. The NDOT Guardrail Program investigates, inspects, surveys, designs, and documents all guardrail projects.
