Project Description
Status: Under Construction
This project was selected due to the current proposed Metro Waterline Replacement Project and needed drainage improvements. Construction of the sidewalk is needed to work in conjunction with new drainage facilities, while also providing connectivity to the existing sidewalk network. It will provide safe connections for people walking to neighborhoods and destinations for transportation and recreation.
Construction began December 2025 and is expected to be complete by early 2027. The roadway will be repaved once the sidewalk and stormwater improvements are complete.
Vision Zero
Though Allison Place is not identified on the Vision Zero High Injury Network, its intersection with Wedgewood Avenue places it along the High Injury Network. Wedgewood Avenue is characterized as a corridor with some of the highest number of injuries experienced by pedestrians and motorists.
