Korean Veterans Boulevard and Shelby Avenue Bikeway Improvements

Project Overview

The Korean Veterans Blvd and Shelby Avenue Bikeway Improvements Project will be implemented in three phases along the corridor. Phase 1 will focus on restriping and adding buffers to the bike lanes from South 5th Street to South 14th Street. Phase 2 will upgrade the existing signed shared route on Shelby Avenue from South 14th Street to South 20th Street in conjunction with repaving and will include upgrades to the existing shared route such as turn hardening and striping that clearly designates the bike facility. Phase 3 will upgrade the existing bike lane on Korean Veterans Boulevard (KVB) from 8th Avenue South to South 1st Street and will include upgrades such as a buffer zone between the vehicle lanes and bike lanes and signage that separates and clearly designates the bike facility.
