The Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT) is advising residents and visitors to prepare for high traffic volumes throughout the city on Saturday, May 10.
On Saturday, five major events will be held in or around the downtown area, which include:
- The Savannah Bananas vs Party Animals at Nissan Stadium
- Shinedown Concert at Bridgestone Arena
- Nashville Sounds vs Norfolk Tides at First Horizon Park
- Iroquois Steeplechase at Percy Warner Park
- Nashville Soccer Club vs Charlotte Football Club at Geodis Park
Other entertainment spaces in downtown Nashville, such as the Ryman Auditorium, Brooklyn Bowl, and the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, also have events scheduled for that evening.
To help alleviate traffic volumes surrounding these events, NDOT’s transportation demand management program, Nashville Connector, has partnered with shared bike and scooter companies Lime, Spin, and Bird to encourage traveling via other modes of transportation. By using code ‘NDOTSPECIALEVENTS’ on May 10, riders will receive a one-time free 10-minute ride on an e-bike or scooter.
Additionally, NDOT encourages attendees to consider taking WeGo Public Transit or utilize rideshare pick-up and drop-off zones at the event spaces via Uber or Lyft.
Stay Up to Date on Roadway Closures.
