Update: The pedestrian fatally injured Monday night is identified as Millicent Jeanelle Manning, 29, of Nashville.
Crash Investigators are working to identify the hit and run drivers involved in Monday’s 7:45 p.m. fatal collision on W. Trinity Lane near Hampton Street that claimed the life of a pedestrian who has been positively identified as a 29-year-old Nashville woman. Efforts are underway to notify her next of kin.
The preliminary investigation shows that the pedestrian was in the eastbound lanes of W. Trinity Lane when a car struck her. She was then struck by a second vehicle. Neither driver stopped. The woman was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center where she died. She did not have any identification on her person. She was identified this afternoon through her fingerprints.

This fatal crash occurred outside of a crosswalk.
