Explorers attend classes and seminars on law enforcement subjects. Explorers assist the Metro Police Department and other Law Enforcement agencies with areas of searching for lost people, parades, crime prevention programs and other functions directed by the Chief of Police. Explorers also participate in a ride along program, which is where the Explorer rides with a police officer while on duty. Explorers also attend the National Law Enforcement Conference that is put on by the Boy Scouts, so that they can compete with other law enforcement agencies around the country.
The Law Enforcement Explorer Post 911 is affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America, and was organized to give young men and women the opportunity to learn about law enforcement as a career.
Time and place of meetings is subject to change - please call 615-862-7617 for current information.
