For the 28th year, Boswell’s Harley-Davidson is partnering with the MNPD for Saturday’s Annual Toy Parade, a significant fundraising event for the police department’s Christmas Basket Program benefiting Nashville families in need of holiday assistance.
The toy parade this year will stage outside First Horizon Park (Sounds Stadium) on Junior Gilliam Way. Registration begins at 9 a.m. The ride starts at noon and will travel through Bicentennial Mall to Rosa Parks Boulevard, east on Broadway to 1st Avenue North, over the Korean Veterans Boulevard Bridge to Ellington Parkway, and will finish at Scoreboard Bar & Grill on Music Valley Drive. Road closures around First Horizon Park begin at 7 a.m.
“Middle Tennessee is loaded with great and caring motorcycle riders,” said Bubba Boswell, President of Boswell’s Harley-Davidson. “This event shows the community how we contribute to a very worthy cause. We are proud that our organization has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years, making it a primary funding element of the Christmas Basket Program.”
Participating riders are asked to bring a new toy and/or make a cash donation. The money and toys will be used to support the police department’s annual Christmas Basket Program, now in its 62nd year, through which police officers deliver food and toys to Nashvillians on Christmas Eve morning. Hundreds of men, women and children comprising nearly 400 families in need will receive surprise gifts of food and toys this year.
All riders and brands of motorcycles are welcome to take part in Boswell’s Toy Parade.
