Crash Investigators are working to identify the hit and run driver responsible for Saturday’s 5:40 a.m. fatal collision in the 300 block of Haywood Lane that claimed the life of pedestrian Ronald K. Lindsey, 55, of Nashville.
The driver of the suspect car, described as a white man, was westbound on Haywood Lane when, for reasons unknown, he left the roadway and struck Lindsey. Lindsey, who had been on the side of the road, died at the scene. There was no evidence of impairment on the part of Lindsey.
The driver of the suspect car, which is blue and possibly a Hyundai, struck a large hole on the north side of Haywood Lane, likely causing front passenger side damage. Vehicle parts were located at the scene.
