A 30-year-old man is jailed this morning on $110,500 bond after Violent Crimes Unit detectives caught him driving a stolen Infiniti Q60 at 115 miles per hour on I-40 Tuesday night with drugs, a vehicle programmer and more than $24,000 cash inside. An MNPD helicopter crew initially saw Charles Crawford Jr. running red lights and traveling at a high rate of speed in the Infiniti, which was reported stolen last Wednesday from a Fed Ex facility on Logistics Way.
Crawford was taken into custody on Tennessee Avenue.
Broken glass was still inside the Infiniti, but the window had been replaced and tinted.
Inside the Infiniti, 220 grams of fentanyl, 292 grams of heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana, meth and three scales were recovered as well as cash, a fake temporary tag and a vehicle programmer.
Crawford was charged with vehicle theft, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, altering the license plate, possession of key fob equipment, drug paraphernalia and three counts of drug possession.
