Specialized Investigations Division detectives are asking for the community’s assistance as they work to locate a white sedan, believed to be a mid-2010s Kia Optima, from which shots were fired on West End Avenue Thursday night in a reported act of road rage.
A 34-year-old man told police that he turned onto West End from 23rd Avenue in front of the Kia. He said the Kia began driving aggressively, causing him to turn into the parking lot of 2312 West End. The Kia followed, pulled alongside him, and a rear seat passenger in the Kia began yelling before that passenger fired into the victim’s car. He was wounded in the back and rear-ended a parked vehicle on West End. The victim was taken to Vanderbilt for treatment. The Kia made a U-turn and proceeded inbound on West End Avenue.
Anyone with information about the car and/or its occupants is asked to contact Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. No private LPR technology was located in that area to assist in this investigation.
