Homicide Unit detectives are asking for the community’s assistance in locating separate vehicles involved in two Nashville murders on Friday night and early Saturday morning that occurred miles apart from each other.
A black Nissan Armada has been identified as the suspect vehicle in Friday’s 8 p.m. fatal shooting of Deshawn Talley, 21, on Edgehill Avenue. Talley was found on the back porch of a residence after witnesses reported hearing gunfire come from the direction of 14th Avenue South. He is not believed to have been the intended target. Surveillance images of the Armada are attached.
In the second case, a dark colored Jeep Grand Cherokee has been identified as the suspect vehicle in Saturday’s 1 a.m. fatal shooting of Letha R. Hayes, 53, outside 643 S. 7th Street. Hayes was an innocent victim who was hit by gunfire after persons in the Jeep began shooting at two men nearby.
