Homicide detectives are pursuing leads as they investigate this afternoon’s fatal shooting of Kelveonna Holmes, 22, outside 2417 Woodale Lane.
The investigation shows that Holmes, her 24-year-old boyfriend, and their three-year-old son had come to the residence to visit. They were still in their car when a vehicle passed in front of the home as shots were fired from it. Arriving officers rendered aid to Holmes before she was transported to Skyline Medical Center where she died. Her boyfriend suffered a graze wound and was treated/released from the hospital. The child was uninjured.
It was the second time in two days that someone had shot at the property from an automobile. No one was injured from Saturday morning’s gunfire.
The resident claimed to detectives that he did not know why shooting incidents occurred. The investigation is continuing.
