Update: Raquel Lorena Sarabia Barajas, 37, has been identified as the Nissan Rogue passenger killed in Sunday morning's crash on Bell Road.
Charges have been filed against the driver of a Maserati SQ4 that crossed into oncoming traffic on Bell Road at Harris Hills Lane and killed the passenger of a Nissan Rogue. The preliminary investigation shows at 3:25 a.m. this morning the Nissan was traveling eastbound when the westbound Maserati SQ4 crossed into oncoming lanes of traffic and struck the Nissan head-on.
The 37-year-old Nissan passenger died at the scene. Efforts are underway to notify her family.
Both drivers were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The driver of the Nissan sustained life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Maserati, Julio Ceasar Herrera Gonzalez, 36, who sustained minor injuries, showed signs of impairment at the hospital. Upon his release Gonzalez will be charged with vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, DUI and driving without a license.
