The man killed in a head-on crash this morning on East Trinity Lane near Gallatin Avenue has been identified as Antwong Hall, 31. The preliminary investigation shows Hall swerved on the wrong side of the roadway with his Nissan Altima into oncoming traffic to avoid a pedestrian. Hall’s vehicle struck a Honda Accord head on and injured the 28-year-old driver.
The pedestrian was pushing a cart in the middle of the left turn lane walking east. He was not struck and continued walking in the roadway as he left the scene.
There were no signs of impairment from either driver at the scene. Hall was not wearing his seatbelt. The driver of the Honda was wearing his seatbelt.
Both drivers were transported to Skyline Medical Center where Hall was pronounced dead. The 28-year-old has non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash.
