East Precinct detectives are continuing in their efforts to identify several male suspects involved in auto burglaries at Shelby Park after which stolen credit cards are used to make purchases at Kroger, 3410 Gallatin Pike.
The two most recent break-ins occurred on January 5th in the parking lot of the Shelby Bottoms Greenway (purse taken) and on December 28 at the parking lot by the baseball fields (wallet taken). In both cases, windows were broken out and a short time later, stolen credit cards were used by the suspects at the 3410 Gallatin Pike Kroger to buy gift cards and other items.
East Precinct detectives are actively pursuing leads in these break-ins, which are often targeted crimes of opportunity. MNPD urges motorists to always Park Smart and lock their automobile doors, secure any valuables---especially guns, and REMOVE THE KEYS.
Anyone who recognizes the suspects from the attached surveillance photos is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
