Update: The man fatally injured in Tuesday’s single-vehicle crash on Errol Lane is identified as Tyler Rader, 37.
An unidentified driver died Tuesday night after a fiery single-vehicle crash in the 300 block of Errol Lane.
The preliminary investigation shows that the driver of a Range Rover was traveling northbound on Annex Avenue at an extremely high rate of speed towards Frisco Avenue. The intersection of Annex Avenue and Frisco Avenue is an “L” intersection with a 90 degree turn to the right in the vehicle’s direction of travel. The Range Rover did not make the turn, continued straight on a gravel drive, and struck a pile of boulders. The SUV then launched airborne and caught fire.
The driver and sole occupant of the Range Rover died at the scene. The deceased is believed to be a male. The Medical Examiner’s Office will work to positively identify the driver.
