Update: Kerlos Toma has died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The three male teens killed in Sunday’s 12:45 a.m. two-vehicle collision on Mt. View Road near Asheford Trace are identified as Maximos Ibrahim, 19, Raafat Nassif, 17, and David Fakhory, 19. All three were passengers in a 2010 Infinity G37 driven by Kerlos Toma, 17. Toma, of Murfreesboro, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
According to witnesses, the Infinity was traveling southbound on Mt. View Road at a high rate of speed when it collided with a northbound 2018 model Jeep Renegade.
Ibrahim and Nassif, both of Nashville, died at the scene. Fakhory, of Nolensville, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died. The 24-year-old driver and lone occupant of the Jeep was transported to Vanderbilt with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. No one in either vehicle was wearing a seatbelt.
Roadway evidence indicates that the Infinity was partially in the oncoming northbound lane of travel at impact. Additional investigation will have to be conducted to determine the exact positioning of each vehicle prior to impact.
The investigation will be staffed by the District Attorney’s Office upon its completion.
