Habitual shoplifter David Foxx, 31, is back behind bars charged with multiple counts of theft of merchandise and other crimes.
Vehicle Crimes detectives Thursday night saw Foxx driving a Ford Taurus in the area of 16th Avenue North and Blank Street and identified him as the man wanted on twenty-five outstanding warrants for theft of merchandise, auto theft, domestic violence, and a probation violation.
Foxx fled from officers. Spike strips were successfully deployed and he stopped on Charlotte Avenue on the entrance ramp of I-40 West where he was taken into custody. Foxx is accused of taking items from a variety of businesses beginning in March, including Dollar General, TJ Maxx, Old Navy, and Bath and Body Works locations primarily on Gallatin Pike in Madison and on Charlotte Pike.
Foxx has prior felony convictions for gun possession, evading arrest, drug possession, and theft. He is being held on $78,000 bond.
