Hermitage Precinct detectives this evening charged James C. Seber, 39, with criminal homicide for the apparent beating death of his housemate, Stephen P. Walker, 66, inside their 105 Woodcraft Court townhome.
Seber drove to a doctor’s appointment this afternoon and said to staff there that his housemate was dead inside their residence. First responders were then contacted. The Nashville Fire Department forced entry into the home and discovered Walker dead on the floor.
During an interview with detectives, Seber said he last spoke with Walker Thursday night. He said he woke up and found that the clothing he wore last night had blood on them. The blood evidence on the clothing is consistent with someone being involved in a physical altercation.
