Homicide Detectives Pursuing Active Leads in Sunday Morning's Targeted Murder of Man at Athens Way Apartment Complex

Update: Homicide Unit detectives are working to identify the suspect vehicle that is believed to be involved in the November 2 fatal shooting of Jackalius Groves, 26, at Parc of Metro Center Apartments on Athens Way. Homicide Unit detectives are pursuing leads in the targeted overnight murder of Jackailus Groves, 26, at Parc of Metro Center Apartments on Athens Way. Groves was found by a resident at 7:15 a.m. on the rear patio of an apartment behind bushes.

The investigation shows that Groves arrived at the apartment complex, where his girlfriend lives, just after 3:15 a.m. Groves was shot just after exiting his white Dodge Durango in what appeared to have been an ambush. The person(s) responsible fled in a vehicle. Detectives know Groves had been at LinQ nightclub on Lafayette Street prior to traveling to the apartment complex.
