Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a potential robbery-related motive in the overnight fatal shooting of Dana Corley, 26, at the intersection of 16th Avenue South and Wedgewood Avenue. Corley was found at 4:30 a.m. with multiple gunshot wounds in the driver’s seat of a black Nissan Altima after it had crashed into a tree near the intersection.
Shots were reportedly heard in the area between 10:30 and 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
His phone was recovered near Wedgewood and 21st Avenues. His wallet was not found.
