Homicide Unit detectives this afternoon charged Caleb Walker, 19, with the overnight murder of Brandon Mullins, 32, in the parking lot of Union on Thompson Apartments at 1020 Thompson Place.
The investigation, led by Detective Chris Cote, shows that Walker and Mullins were involved in a dispute over Mullins’ girlfriend, who formerly dated Walker. During the confrontation, Mullins was fatally wounded.
After detectives interviewed Mullins’ girlfriend, who witnessed part of the altercation, an arrest warrant was sworn out against Walker. The police department’s Special Response Team located him in a friend’s apartment at the same complex. A semi-automatic pistol was also recovered.
Walker is being held without bond pending a hearing.
