Crash Investigators are continuing efforts to identify the hit and run driver, now believed to be in a dark colored 2016-2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, who Sunday at 1:30 a.m. critically injured a man riding a motorized scooter at the intersection of Dickerson Pike and Doverside Drive.
The investigation indicates the 36-year-old victim was riding the scooter from the nearby Wal-Mart when he attempted to cross Dickerson Pike at the intersection and was struck by the Jeep (seen in an attached surveillance photo) traveling southbound on Dickerson Pike. The victim, who lives on Rainwood Drive, was transported to Skyline Medical Center in critical condition.
