Coordinated effort by Vehicle Crimes and TITANS Unit detectives, along with patrol officers, MNPD Canine Units, and MNPD Aviation led to Thursday’s apprehension of Timothy Wilson, 39, after he fled into the woods on Kingview Court, leaving his 4-year-old son in the backseat of the stolen 2024 Honda Accord he was driving erratically during a pursuit.
Detectives were alerted that the stolen Accord was driving erratically, seen by Aviation running multiple stop lights and crossing into opposing lanes of traffic at a high rate of speed. After two attempted traffic stops, the Accord was disabled on Buena Vista Pike at Stokers Lane.
The driver, Wilson, continued to the Kwik Sak gas station at Clarksville Pike and Kings Lane where he got out and fled into the woods. He was quickly apprehended.
Wilson had three outstanding warrants at the time of his arrest for a prior incident where he evaded police. He was charged Thursday night with motor vehicle theft, child endangerment, misdemeanor and felony evading arrest, reckless driving and driving on a revoked license.
He remains jailed today on $86,500 bond.
