Outstanding investigation by Specialized Investigations Division detectives resulted in Wednesday's arrest of Yanathan Furline, 21, who was wanted for the January 31 shooting at an apartment complex at 1613 Brentridge Circle that seriously injured a woman.
Responding officers found the 23-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to her thigh. She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she recovered. The victim reported that Furline had come to her apartment to purchase marijuana when he pointed a firearm at her and shot her, endangering others within the highly populated apartment complex.
The investigation shows that once Furline stole the marijuana, he planned to sell it. He is charged with attempted murder, aggravated robbery, gun possession during the commission of a felony, felony drug possession, and reckless endangerment. He is being held in lieu of $250,000 bond.
