MNPD officers assigned to the United States Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force Thursday arrested Corey Adkisson, 39, at his Niagara Drive residence on outstanding warrants for felon in possession of a weapon and felony probation violation.
MNPD Neighborhood Safety Section detectives responded to assist in the investigation. Seized from the residence during the execution of a search warrant were a loaded semi-automatic pistol, 6.5 grams of mushrooms, 3.5 grams of cocaine, 51.5 grams of Xanax, and $10,335 cash.
In addition to the outstanding warrants, Adkisson is charged with felon in possession of a weapon, gun possession in the commission of a dangerous felony, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and Schedule I & 4 narcotics. He is being held on $120,000 bond and is expected to be prosecuted federally.
Adkisson has a prior felony conviction for possession with intent to distribute cocaine and hydromorphone.
