TITANS (The Investigative Team Addressing Neighborhood Shootings) detectives Wednesday night arrested the man who fled from them after he was known to be armed and driving on a revoked license with a significant amount of marijuana. 1.2 pounds of marijuana, a loaded Glock 30 firearm, stolen out of Goodlettsville, and a black digital scale were found in his flight path.
Keonta Brown, 20, was located on 8th Avenue South driving a Chevrolet Malibu when detectives initiated a traffic stop at the Wedgewood Avenue intersection. He fled and later stopped the Malibu near the intersection of Beech and Benton Avenues.
Brown exited the driver’s seat with a backpack and ran on foot. Brown was taken into custody by detectives a short time after.
Brown was charged last night with theft of a firearm, two counts of evading arrest, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, driving on a revoked license, and dangerous felony weapon possession. A judicial commissioner set Brown’s bond at $26,000. He posted it and was released this morning.
