Coordinated police work between the Juvenile Crime Task Force, precinct-based undercover detectives, and the Aviation Unit led to Friday’s 9 p.m. arrest of escaped teen Morris Marsh who was a passenger in a rented 2018 silver Nissan Rogue driven by his brother, Rashon Keesee, 26.
Investigation led to information that Marsh, 17, was in the Nissan SUV which was spotted on Cass Street. Keesee refused to stop. A pursuit ended approximately 15 minutes later at the Exxon, 340 Harding Place, where Marsh’s mother, Tewanna Keesee (aka Marsh), 43, was waiting. She was also taken into custody.
Rashon and Tewanna Keesee are both charged with accessory after the fact. Investigation shows that both communicated with Marsh, knew his whereabouts, and did not contact police. Additionally, Rashon Keesee is charged with felony evading arrest.
Several MNPD components continue to search for the lone remaining escaped teen Brandon Caruthers, 17. Caruthers was being held for armed robbery. Anyone seeing him or knowing his whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Reward money for information leading to his apprehension is in excess of $5,000. Persons determined to be assisting him to evade capture will be prosecuted.
