A 37-year-old woman, who was one of MNPD’s Most Wanted suspects, surrendered herself yesterday on nine outstanding warrants dating back to 2021. Whitney Warren was most recently charged with stealing a man’s Nissan Armada on January 23 from a gas station on Franklin Pike.
Warren quickly drove off as the man was inside the store and the vehicle was left running. The victim’s wife and a friend, who were parked next to the Armada, immediately followed Warren in an attempt to stop her.
As both vehicles continued onto I-65, Warren took the victim’s Glock pistol inside the Armada and shot towards the victim’s wife’s vehicle as the women pursued the stolen Armada. Warren then rammed into the women’s car with the Armada which ended their pursuit.
The women returned to the gas station where the victim was talking to officers.
Warren eventually crashed the victim’s Armada on Nolensville Pike but took the victim’s pistol and his wife’s Gucci purse from inside before fleeing on foot.
Warren already had multiple warrants from both MNPD and Berry Hill Police from prior encounters. Berry Hill Police had an outstanding child endangerment and vehicle theft warrant for Warren from January when she stole a man’s vehicle and left him with her 3-month-old child without diapers, formula or food. The man’s vehicle was recovered, and the Department of Children’s Services was notified.
Warren also had an outstanding vehicle theft warrant from June 2021 where she stole a Toyota Sienna minivan from a Dickerson Pike liquor store, which was later recovered. The MNPD Crime Lab was able to confirm the fingerprints lifted from inside matched Warren’s.
Warren was booked on three counts of vehicle theft, two counts of aggravated assault, one count of child endangerment, one count of theft of a firearm, one count of theft and one count of failure to render aid. She remains jailed in lieu of $232,100 bond.
