The motorcyclist killed in Wednesday night’s collision with a pickup truck on Old Hickory Boulevard at the I-24 East entrance ramp is identified as Timothy Williams, 61, of Madison.
The investigation shows that at 6:50 p.m. Williams was riding his 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle north on Old Hickory Boulevard when he collided with a southbound 2013 Ford F350 pickup truck that was turning left to enter I-24 East. Williams was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died.
According to witnesses, the traffic light was green for motorists traveling north and south. The driver of the pickup truck, Ronnie Clayton, 48, of Alabama was not injured. Clayton was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.
There was no evidence at the scene of alcohol or drug involvement in this fatal crash.
