The woman killed in Wednesday's 2 a.m. single-vehicle crash in the 1300 block of Old Hickory Boulevard is identified as Roberta Osgood, 30, of Nashville.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Osgood was driving her 2017 Toyota Highlander west on Old Hickory Boulevard when she traveled off the roadway, stuck a concrete mailbox, and then collided with a tree. Osgood was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died.
There was no evidence of alcohol or drug involvement at the scene. Osgood was wearing her seatbelt. The preliminary contributing factors to this crash appear to be speed and failure to maintain lane of travel.
