Update: The victim has been identified as Lha Tun, 32, of Cimarron Way. Officers continue to be on the lookout for the car.
Fatal crash investigators are asking for the community's assistance in locating a dark colored Dodge Charger that struck and fatally injured a male pedestrian at 8:20 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Haywood Lane near Hopedale Drive.
The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was crossing Haywood Lane from north to south and was near the center of the street when he was struck by the Charger. The car continued east on Haywood Lane. The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.
The Charger will have significant damage to the driver's side. Anyone seeing the car or knowing who was driving it Thursday night is asked to contact Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
