The 24-year-old delivery driver shot this morning outside the Walgreens store at 2244 Murfreesboro Pike is in stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Detectives are at this hospital now to interview him.
The gunman is described as a possibly homeless black man (he was pushing a shopping cart in the parking lot prior to the shooting) who wore a black hoodie with yellow writing and dark jogging pants with a gold stripe down the legs. He is approximately 5’6” tall and fled on foot after the shooting.
The victim, who arrived in the parking lot shortly before 8 a.m. driving a non-descript white van, was at the business to deliver medication. The shooting occurred during an altercation with the gunman.
