Harlly Borjas-Flores, 19, was arrested by Violent Crimes detectives last night on an outstanding aggravated robbery warrant following an October 22 incident where three victims’ cash and cards were stolen at gunpoint in an apartment complex on Hickory Club Drive.
The victims stated the two suspects, described as Hispanic men, were driving a white Nissan Altima. South Precinct officers quickly located the suspected Altima less than two miles from the robbery location. After officers attempted to make a traffic stop, the Altima fled.
The Altima and Borjas-Flores were found a short time later on Bakertown Road. He was questioned about the robbery and charged that night with felony evading arrest.
Outstanding work by South Precinct Officer Steven Bowler connected Borjas-Flores to the aggravated robbery when he reviewed his in-car camera footage during the brief pursuit with the Altima and noticed things being thrown from the vehicle. Officer Bowler returned to the scene on October 24 and located multiple items belonging to the victims along the flight path.
Borjas-Flores is currently being held in lieu of $75,000 bond. His photo is being withheld pending further lineups.
