Outstanding work by Violent Crimes Division detectives last night, during continuing precision policing efforts, led to the quick arrest of Keshawn Johnson, 19, a short time after an armed robbery in West Nashville. Johnson was observed by MNPD Sergeant John Tuberville putting on a ski mask prior to running inside the Subway location on Old Hickory Boulevard and stealing money from the business at gunpoint.
Sgt. Tuberville notified the appropriate resources to safely take Johnson into custody in a parking lot on Clarksville Pike. Inside Johnson's vehicle, detectives recovered cash, the ski mask and a loaded handgun.
Johnson was charged with aggravated robbery. He is currently jailed on $50,000 bond.
