Parolee Maurice E. Bowers, 55, who has been convicted of burglary at least 11 times between 1992 and 2018, was arrested again today, this time for breaking into and stealing from three Nashville locations during March, including Lipscomb University’s Theatre Department. The other places burglarized were Cosmetic Surgery PC on 21st Avenue South and Green Hills Oral Surgery on Hillsboro Pike.
Midtown Hills Precinct Detective Matthew Moses spotted Bowers’ Chevrolet Monte Carlo on 12th Avenue South at Edgehill Avenue today and knew a car matching that description had been recorded by a surveillance camera at one of the burglarized businesses. Bowers was also recorded on surveillance video. He was stopped and arrested without incident.
Bowers is jailed in lieu of $15,000 bond on three counts of burglary and three counts of theft. He last received a 7-year sentence in 2018 for two burglary convictions.
